SOLUBLE CALCIUM NITRATE
Soluble calcium nitrate is an uncoated granulate fertilizer, perfectly soluble in water for foliar fertilization and through irrigation systems.
Composition:
15.2% total nitrogen N , including 0.7%ammonium nitrate NH4.14.5% nitrate nitrogen NO3; 27.5% calcium CaO
Use:
in solutions of hydroponic media, when grown on mineral wool, when fertilizing fruit crops, foliar calcium feeding.
Foliar fertilization
- Greenhouse plants 0.5 % every 10-14 days / max 2-6 sprays / with plant growth
- field vegetables1-1.5% every 10-14 days / max 2-6 spraying in the early stages of development
- orchards 0.5-1% every 7-10 days / max 4-8 spraying, after fruit buds fall
- greenhouse vegetables 0.5-1% every 14 days / max 2-5 sprayings at an early stage of development.
Fertilization through irrigation systems
Use 0.5-1.5 g of saltpeter per 1 ltr of watering water.
When using horticultural fertilizers, the dose of saltpeter should be reduced accordingly by the amount of nitrogen introduced with these fertilizers. Calcium nitrate should be administered with each application (watering). The amount of saltpeter administered should be adjusted to the plant phase, temperature, exposure, etc.
REMARK
1G OF CALCIUM NITRATE IN 1 LTR OF WATER GIVES AN EC=1.2ms/cm at 25 oC
1 KG N/100 M2 CORRESPONDS TO 6,5 KG OF CALCIUM NITRATE/100 M2
Calcium nitrate can be mixed with most pesticides, avoid mixing with fertilizers or chemicals containing sulfur or phosphates. Avoid spraying during flowering and during periods of high temperatures. If there are any doubts about the use of spraying, do a test on a few selected plants.
