Action: convenient and easy to use kit for checking soil pH in the garden, lawn or pots. Verification of the pH of the soil gives the possibility of adjusting the pH of the substrate to the needs of the already planted plant or appropriate selection of the type of planted plants to the properties of the soil.

The pH of the soil is a key factor influencing its fertility and the solubility and availability of many nutrients necessary for the plant to develop properly. The optimal pH for most plants ranges from 5.0-7.0. However, there are species that require typically acidic soils, e.g. rhododendrons, blueberries, some conifers. Growing them in soil with the wrong pH results in poor growth and greater susceptibility to disease.

A table with optimal pH values is placed inside the package.

USE

Place a small amount of soil (taken from a depth of about 10 cm) in a clean dish and mix with about 10 ml of distilled water in the package. After the ground has fallen to the bottom of the vessel, immerse the indicator strip in water for 1 second, ensuring that the entire indicator part is under its surface. Then shake off the excess water from the strip and after about 30 seconds read the result, comparing on the strip with the scale inside the package.

If the pH of the soil is too low, it can be deacidified with lime, and in the case of too high pH, use fertilizer to acidify the soil.
